As a child, I often found myself immersed in vivid dreams journeys into infinite, multi-dimensional structures that were both awe-inspiring and deeply unsettling. These visions stayed with me, haunting the edges of my understanding. For years, I couldn’t explain them. Then, about a decade ago, I encountered Benoit Mandelbrot’s theory of fractals, and suddenly, everything clicked. My dreams, I realized, were fractals—manifestations of a geometry that defies conventional form.
Fractals are the geometry of the unshaped, the irregular, the natural. They embody the architecture of nature, revealing a hidden organizing structure within what appears chaotic. These mathematical images of irregularity provide a way to comprehend the delicate threads connecting the Cosmos, the life of plants, inanimate objects, and human existence itself. Mandelbrot’s work illuminated the idea that the universe is not a series of isolated parts but an interconnected whole, rooted in its origin and endlessly unfolding.
Inspired by this revelation, I sought to translate the essence of my childhood dreams into a tangible, immersive experience. Through a visual VR exploration, I reconstructed these infinite, fractal-like spaces, allowing others to dive into the boundless geometries that once existed only in my mind.
This work is an invitation to journey into the intangible, the spaces where order meets chaos, where the universe reveals its recursive beauty. It is a homage to the natural architecture of existence, to the profound connection between all things, and to the infinite complexity that lies within the simplest of forms.
